How PassGen handles your information

PassGen generates passwords on your device. This page explains, in plain terms, what happens to your inputs and outputs.

Client-side processing

Generation happens on your device

PassGen processes password generation client-side. The characters you select and the passwords it produces are created locally, and generated outputs are not collected by us.

No passwords or user configurations are transmitted to remote tracking servers. We keep our practices transparent and avoid vague or exaggerated technical claims about how your data is protected.

Our principles

Three commitments

The core rules behind how PassGen treats information.

No harvesting

No data harvesting

PassGen does not collect the passwords it generates or the settings you choose to create them.

Local processing

Local processing

Generation runs client-side, so credentials are created in your own environment rather than on a remote server.

Transparency

Open practices

We describe what happens to information in plain language, without vague or exaggerated security claims.
